The cushions come out

That detail changes how you use it. A roll with fixed cushions travels half empty as soon as you leave with two watches instead of three — and a watch that moves inside a case is a watch that gets scratched. Here you pull the spare cushion out and the roll closes on what it holds.

Each cushion is 5 cm wide and takes any diameter, on leather, steel, rubber or NATO.

The cylinder

Eight centimetres across, eighteen long. A roll uses less useful volume than a flat box of the same capacity, because it wedges into a corner of a suitcase or inside a shoe. The smooth black leather wipes clean; the velvet lining holds the cases.

Press-stud closure, no zip: nothing metal rubs against the crystals.
