The principle is simple, and that is its strength: lay the five watches in their slots, fold the top panel over, roll, cinch the tie. Thirty seconds, and nothing moves until you arrive.

Closed, the pouch is 14 × 35 cm. It slides down the side of a cabin case rather than across it, which makes it easier to place than a rigid box of the same capacity.

Khaki, the original shade

Barbour oiled cloth is water-repellent waxed cotton. Khaki is its historic version — and the one that ages best, because the wax patina barely shows on it.

Unlike leather, the cloth does not crack or dry out. It can be re-waxed after a few years if needed.
