The Tropic in 22mm, for modern divers

The Tropic was born on cases of 38 to 40mm. Contemporary divers have grown: 42, 44, sometimes 45mm, with 22mm lugs. This width gives the basket weave a presence 20mm cannot — the pattern reads from a distance, and the notched border draws a clean line along the wrist.

A vintage look in a current material

The drawing is period, the material is not. The Tropics of the 1960s hardened and cracked. FKM rubber stays supple and keeps its colour: a technical fluoroelastomer, unaffected by seawater, UV and perspiration. You get the look without the fragility.

Six colours, two registers

Black and grey go anywhere, from a dress chronograph to the most technical diver. Navy blue answers blue bezels and dials. Khaki draws on the tool-watch world. Red and orange take full colour in the regatta spirit — orange being, historically, a visibility colour underwater.

Airflow and comfort on a large case

The larger the surface against the wrist, the more moisture clearance matters. The microperforated Classic is enough day to day; the Sport version, pierced with three large holes, goes further for diving and hot climates. Tapered thickness lightens the wrist without losing hold.

Tool-free fitting, 20mm buckle
