Matt black and a tempered glass pane on a six-watch format: discreet on a piece of furniture, readable at a glance in the morning. A six-watch wooden box, black suede-effect lining, 50 mm cushions. 27 × 22 × 9 cm, 1.8 kg.
At six watches, the box sits where you see it — a desk, a console, the top of a dresser. That is exactly where gloss becomes tiresome: every touch leaves a mark. Matt solves it and ages better, without micro-scratches.
It also absorbs light rather than reflecting it, which puts the watches forward instead of the box.
Not acrylic: tempered glass, which does not scratch under a cloth and does not yellow. Across six slots, it lets you choose your watch by eye before opening anything.
One caveat, always the same: glass lets light through. Away from a window, no drawback. In direct sun, choose a solid lid such as the 6-watch matt black.
Filmed in our workshop on a Geneva 6-watch box. Opening and slots are shared across the range.
In ten watches, the matt black glass-top 10. In exotic wood, the Makassar glass-top 6. And for something lighter, the 6-watch white lacquer. Every watch storage box we carry.
