Why do we collect your personal data?
We use your personal data mainly for the following purposes.
Managing orders and the customer relationship
We collect this information to manage your orders: deliveries, invoices, accounting, customer account management, handling of complaints and after-sales service, and exchanges of items in the event of an ordering error.
Personalising the messages we send you
Your data allows us to improve and personalise the services we offer, such as special offers or private sales by email. This communication is carried out in-house, by email only, and solely where you have consented to it beforehand when creating your customer account.
Site security
We may collect certain browsing data in order to ensure the security of our services and to detect, prevent or trace any attempted malicious activity, intrusion, or breach of our terms of use.
We do not collect any banking data
When you pay for your order on Laboiteamontres.com, your payments are secured and routed to our external providers: CM-CIC Paiement (a French bank), Apple Pay or PayPal.
No card number or PayPal identifier is stored on Laboiteamontres.com servers, nor does any pass through them. Your payment details are collected solely by our payment service providers.
The fraud prevention module and 3D Secure payment authentication are tools provided by our banking partner CM-CIC when you pay on its interface. Some payments may be refused by CM-CIC, in particular where the payment IP address lies outside our delivery area.
Payment via Apple Pay involves the transmission to Apple of the following data: surname, first name, email address, telephone number and postal address. You have a right to object to the use of your data on the Apple.com website.
What personal data do we collect?
When you create your customer account, mandatory fields are indicated by a red asterisk. Some data is collected automatically as a result of your browsing (IP address, for example); other information is entered by you.
We collect and process in particular: surname, first name, postal address, email address, password (encrypted), telephone number, IP address, connection and browsing data, order history, products viewed, delivery incidents and any complaints.
Other information may be requested on a purely optional basis, such as your company registration number (for a business purchase, if you wish it to appear on your invoice) or your date of birth (a field offered by default by PrestaShop).
We collect this information when:

- you browse the site and view products;
- you contact our customer service by email or telephone;
- you write a review or leave a product comment;

What communications may you receive?
Order tracking emails
Following an order, you receive an email allowing you to track it: order confirmation, information on the delivery of your parcel. These messages are necessary for the proper performance of the orders and services you have requested. The legal basis for this processing is the performance of the contract formed by our terms and conditions of sale.
Newsletters
Following the creation of your account or an online purchase, and unless you have objected, you may receive information and commercial offers from Laboiteamontres.com by email. We may measure the open rate of these emails in order to tailor them to our customers. You can manage your preferences or unsubscribe at any time, from your account or from the link at the bottom of each message.
Satisfaction surveys
Following a purchase, we may ask for your opinion by email by means of questionnaires. These surveys may be sent by approved partners. You may object to them at any time.
Product availability alerts
You may ask to be informed by email when an item becomes available, by entering your email address on the relevant product page. In that case, your address is used to send you a single email regarding that availability. It is neither retained nor used for marketing purposes.
Legal bases and retention periods
The processing of your personal data rests on several legal bases.
Contract
The processing of your data (address, contact details) is necessary for the performance of the contract of sale to which you consented when placing your order. Without this data, the order cannot be processed.
Consent
You accept the processing of your data through voluntary consent: a tick box, or the choice you express in our cookie banner. You may withdraw this consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing already carried out.
Legal obligation
Certain processing operations are required by law, in particular in accounting and tax matters.
Retention periods
Your customer account data and order history are retained for five (5) years from your last activity — an order or a login to your account.
Invoices and accounting records are retained for ten (10) years, in accordance with statutory accounting and tax obligations.
Marketing prospection data is retained for three (3) years from your last contact.
Cookie data is retained for a maximum of thirteen (13) months, and your consent choices for six (6) months.
Recipients of your data
Transmission for delivery purposes
The address data we collect is passed to our logistics providers — La Poste, Chronopost, DHL, DPD — and to customs authorities in the case of international delivery. Police authorities may, where applicable, access this data in the context of judicial requisitions.
No resale and no third-party prospection
Your contact details and profile data are never sold, rented or passed to external advertising networks or commercial partners for prospection purposes. Your email addresses and telephone numbers are never passed to third parties for electronic marketing campaigns.
Audience measurement and advertising tools
Subject to the consent you express in our cookie banner, we use audience measurement and advertising tools provided by Google (Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Merchant Center) and by the social platforms on which we are present. These tools place cookies and process browsing identifiers. Full details are given in our cookie policy.
Transfers of data outside the European Union
Our servers, our shipping department and our marketing department are located in France. Your customer account and order data does not leave the European Union.
There are two clearly identified exceptions:
— postal, transport and customs services may access billing and delivery data (surname, first name, address, telephone) when a parcel is shipped outside French territory;
— the audience measurement and advertising tools mentioned above, where you have consented to them, involve a transfer to the United States. These transfers are governed by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and, where applicable, by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
If you refuse audience measurement and advertising cookies, no such transfer takes place.
Exercising your choices and your rights
You may amend your data at any time, online from your account under “My personal data”, or by post to: PASSY DISTRIBUTION, 36 rue Scheffer, 75116 Paris, France.
In accordance with applicable regulations, you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and portability of your data, together with the right to issue directions as to what happens to it after your death.

Complaint to the supervisory authority
If, after contacting us, you consider that your rights have not been respected, you may lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL), 3 place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07, France, or online at www.cnil.fr. If you reside in another Member State of the European Union, you may also lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority.

Our site offers links to our Facebook, Instagram and YouTube pages, in the form of small buttons.
