Geneva watch box for 6 watches in white lacquered wood. Thick wooden structure, interior dividers lacquered on their upper edge, 50 mm black velvet cushions that fit any watch. Black hinges. A light-toned piece, rare in this market, that sets off dark dials sharply.
Almost every watch box is black, brown or Makassar. This one is white lacquer, and that changes two things. Contrast first: a black dial or a dark strap reads far better against a light background. Then the way it sits in a room: a white box fits a contemporary interior where a black one creates a mass.
In practical terms, it is also one of the boxes most often ordered from us as a gift.
On most boxes the interior dividers are covered in fabric on every face. Here the upper edge of each divider is lacquered in the same white as the structure, and only the side faces are lined. Open the lid and you see a crisp lacquered grid instead of a textile border. That is a detail found on high-end finishes.
50 mm cushions: a 36 mm dress watch, a chronograph, a 44 mm diver on a steel bracelet, a NATO or a thick leather strap — a genuinely universal case. Solid lid, no glass.
Filmed in our workshop, on a Geneva 6-watch box. Opening, slot depth and cushion hold are shared across the range, whatever the finish.
The same structure exists in matt black lacquer if you prefer something discreet, and in Makassar varnish for a warmer wood finish. To give a gift in a luxury register, look at the Scatola del Tempo Viaggio 6, handmade in Italy. Everything else is in our watch boxes category.
