At eighteen watches this is no longer a box but collection storage. Square 39 × 39 cm, a single level, everything visible under tempered glass. Varnished Makassar wood veneer, black suede-effect lining, 50 mm cushions. 4 kg.
Thirty-nine centimetres square, four kilos: at this size the object is no longer put away, it is set down. It is a collection cabinet, and it needs a place planned before you order — a dresser, a console, a shelf that carries the weight.
In return, all eighteen slots sit on a single level. No watch is buried under a tray you have to lift, which is not the case with most large capacities.
39 × 39 cm is unusual — large boxes are generally rectangular. A square lays the watches out in an even grid, easier to read than a long row, and it centres naturally on a piece of furniture.
Dark brown streaks over a lighter ground, multi-layer gloss varnish. The tempered glass lid shows the whole collection without opening — across eighteen pieces, that is what makes the box usable day to day.
Each divider is varnished on top and lined only on its side faces.
Filmed in our workshop, with a Rolex GMT, a steel Omega Speedmaster and an Omega Swatch Mission to the Moon set inside. It is the best way to judge the real scale of the piece.
Below it, the 10-watch Makassar glass-top uses exactly the same finish. Above it, the leather Cubano 20 XL reaches twenty slots. All our large watch boxes and watchboxes.
