The 20mm Goldfinger grey NATO strap: black and grey stripes lifted by a red pinstripe. Our best seller. Single-piece nylon NATO watch strap to G10 specification, marine-grade anti-corrosion stainless steel buckle and keepers. 20mm lug width — Tudor Black Bay 58, Tudor Black Bay 54, Tudor Ranger, Longines Spirit 40, Longines HydroConquest 41.
Across our whole NATO range, this colourway comes first, and by some distance. The red pinstripe explains it: it gives the black and grey stripe just enough lift to be noticed, without ever tipping into colour. A strap people notice, not a strap that shows off.
This is the kind of advice you will not find on a spec sheet. The first-generation Deepsea (116660) is listed at 21mm lug width, the current models (126660, 136660) at 22mm. With a NATO strap the logic reverses: the strap passes under the case, so you can go narrower, never wider. And on the Deepsea's thick lugs, a 22mm curls at the edges.
That is why most Deepsea owners fit 20mm: it sits flat, it holds, it does not lift. 21mm remains an option if you want to fill the lug gap exactly. Your call — but now you know why.
Made from a single piece of woven nylon, this NATO watch strap follows the original British G10 specification. The strap slides under the case and bears on both spring bars. Marine-grade anti-corrosion stainless steel buckle and keepers — sea, water sports and diving without reservation. Machine washable at 30°.
Rolex Datejust 36, Omega Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch, Omega Seamaster 300 Heritage, Omega Railmaster, Tudor Black Bay 58. 20mm is the universal width: the safest choice if you are unsure.
If you want the exact film stripe, without the red pinstripe, that is the 20mm black and grey NATO strap. The same Goldfinger comes in 22mm and 24mm for wider cases. The rest of the range is here: 20mm NATO straps.
