Beige is the historic tone of the military strap
Army-issue straps were never black: they were tan, beige or sand, because that is the natural colour of an undyed oil-tanned leather. The beige Militare takes up that original tone rather than a fashion colour.
An oil-tanned leather, dense and little troubled by water
Oil tanning drives the fat into the fibre instead of laying it on the surface. The hide becomes denser and takes moisture without stiffening. Paired with a waterproof rubber lining, it is a construction made for outdoor use.
Italian manufacture
Leather tanned and strap assembled in Italy, in the Arezzo workshops. Brushed stainless buckle 20 mm included and removable. It is shown on a Panerai, by way of illustration.
