This black alligator strap is cut 20/16: 20mm at the lugs, 16mm at the buckle end. That is the dimension of gold Rolex Daytona watches supplied with an original 16mm Rolex deployment buckle. You keep your buckle and change only the leather.

Which Daytona this format fits

The 20mm lug width corresponds to Daytona watches later than 1988: the 16500 series from 1988 to 2000, references 16518 and 16519, and the models that followed. Check the width of your original deployment buckle: it must measure 16mm.

The material: genuine alligator

Hand-tanned large-scale alligator, light-and-dark scale contrast preserved, matt finish. Large-scale alligator skin, one of the most prized leathers in fine watchmaking: hand-graded, with its characteristic rectangular grain, from legal CITES farms in the southern United States raising under the control of the local authorities.

Waterproof Oysterglove Supersoft lining

The lining is a particularly supple Hirsch Oysterglove Supersoft calf. Its treatment makes it waterproof: it dries quickly and is unaffected by perspiration, which matters on a strap worn all year.
