Ostrich 20/16 strap black, fits a Rolex Daytona deployment buckle
This black ostrich strap is cut 20/16: 20mm at the lugs, 16mm at the buckle end. That is the dimension of gold Rolex Daytona watches supplied with an original 16mm Rolex deployment buckle. You keep your buckle and change only the leather.
A genuine ostrich skin, not an embossing
Genuine black ostrich, semi-matt, with its characteristic round quill marks. Ostrich is recognised by its round quill marks, left in relief. The semi-matt surface avoids any gloss and keeps the strap quiet under a gold watch.
Check before ordering
Two dimensions matter: the watch's lug width, 20mm on Daytona watches later than 1988, and the width of the original deployment buckle, which must be 16mm. The 16500 series produced from 1988 to 2000, references 16518 and 16519, fall into this case, as do the models that followed.
A lining that dries fast
The Hirsch Oysterglove Supersoft calf lining is waterproof-treated. It does not hold perspiration and dries quickly — a condition for an ostrich skin to keep its quill marks well defined over time.
