Bergeon, made in Switzerland — 7744 watchmaker tool case for adjusting metal bracelets. A metal bracelet pin extractor made up of 2 plastic supports and an assortment of 6 extraction pins, on a Bergeon support. Official Bergeon retailer.
A case for extracting metal bracelet pins: two plastic supports and an assortment of six extraction pins, on a Bergeon support. Swiss manufacture.
It is the most common operation when a new watch arrives, and the one that leaves the most marks when it is improvised. The support holds the bracelet, the pin pushes along the axis.
Pin diameters vary from one brand to another. A pusher too thin bends in the link, one too thick will not enter. The assortment covers the usual cases.
The support keeps the bracelet aligned during the push. It is what prevents a marked link and a pin driven out crooked.
These tools are used by watchmaking professionals and made entirely in Switzerland. La Boîte à Montres is an official Bergeon retailer.
Some metal bracelets, modern Rolex among them, are adjusted with screws rather than pins. In that case the Bergeon 1.6 mm watchmaker screwdriver is the tool.
