3x and 10x watch loupes: two distinct uses

3x magnification serves the working operations — opening, driving screws in and out, checking. 10x serves the inspection of parts and surfaces: dials, micro-scratches, engravings. These are the only two magnifications a collector genuinely needs.

The eyeglass holder frees both hands

A loupe held in the eye socket occupies a brow and rules out precise movement. The Bergeon holder keeps it in place and leaves both hands available. That is what separates a quick check from a proper job.

Single plano-convex lens and ventilation

Each loupe is built around one plano-convex lens. A small side hole ventilates it and prevents misting during work.
