An embossed leather, patinated scale by scale

The Patino is a cowhide embossed with an alligator pattern, not an exotic skin. What separates it from an ordinary embossed leather is the work that follows: each scale is patinated by hand, which hollows the joints and brings out the relief. An industrial emboss stays flat; this one does not.

Honey goes with aged indices

Honey picks up the tone old indices take as they age, and the patina of the leather answers that of the dial. It is a match few new straps achieve. It is shown on a Rolex 5513, by way of illustration.

The choice of semi-matt

On an embossed leather, a glossy finish gives the imitation away at once. Semi-matt does the opposite: it lets shadow work in the scale joints and gives depth. Clean side cut, 4 mm tapering padding, hypoallergenic leather lining.
