A vintage finish for a military watch

The dark brown of the Marina is not a new brown: the finish is worked to give the look of a leather already worn. That is what owners of military watches and older Rolex watches look for, where too crisp a strap gives the replacement away.

Layered calf, rubber lining

The layered construction gives the strap its hold; the rubber lining gives it its life. It extends the working life of the strap by limiting the effects of perspiration, which matters on a strap meant to be worn daily rather than kept.

Our workshop shots present it fitted to a Panerai. The style suits it: dark leather, brushed stainless buckle, no flourish. It plays the same role on an older Rolex Submariner or a military field watch.

Tanned and assembled in Italy

The leather is tanned and the strap assembled in Italy, in the Arezzo workshops. Brushed stainless buckle included and removable.
