The 20mm raw leather strap is a nubuck, not a smooth leather
This nubuck is buffed on the grain side: the surface stays matt and velvety, without reflection. On a collector's watch, that absence of shine is what keeps the strap from giving its age away — a new smooth leather always announces the replacement.
Nubuck on both faces
The lining leather is identical to the surface leather: nubuck throughout, hypoallergenic. Nothing synthetic between the skin and the watch, and the same velvety hand on both faces.
A deliberately discreet buckle
Unlike the other Horseman straps, this one takes a slim, discreet polished stainless buckle. The choice is coherent: on a leather this quiet, a wide vintage buckle would take over. It remains included and removable.
