The 18 mm lizard strap in bordeaux steps outside the usual black-and-brown register. Drum dyeing varies the intensity from one scale to the next: almost brown on the raised parts, brighter in the hollows. Against a cream or silvered dial the effect is immediate.
The lizard is genuine, vegetable-tanned, supplied under CITES certificate. Its scales are small and irregular, tighter towards the lugs. The edge is folded and stitched inwards — a rolled cut, slower to make than a clean edge, which removes any ridge against the wrist. Light dome, 4 mm.
