It is the lug width of classic watches of moderate diameter, of vintage pieces and of many ladies' watches. A width that usually goes with a slim strap in supple leather.
An old springbar is no longer secure
A springbar that has been in service may be bent, or its spring seized. It no longer holds the strap safely. Changing the springbars with the strap is the habit to adopt.
The spring bar tool recommended for your 18mm springbars
The fine fork slides between the strap and the lug, then releases the bar. The movement is the same whatever the width. We recommend the Bergeon 6767F spring bar tool.
