The 20mm velcro watch strap in khaki takes the muted green of military field watches. It sits well against black dials as much as bronze or brushed steel cases, and it carries dust without showing it — a practical advantage black does not have.

Hook-and-loop: continuous adjustment

The velcro fastening adjusts with no hole and no notch. You tighten exactly where needed and release in one move, gloves included. On a watch worn outdoors it is the fastest closure there is — and it does not wear at one fixed point the way a punched strap end does on a pin buckle.

Breathable nylon, 100% vegan

Hirsch's elastic nylon stays supple in cold weather and dries quickly after rain. Water resistant, with no animal material, it rinses in clean water. At 255mm there is enough band to pass over a technical jacket sleeve.

Hirsch has produced in Austria for more than a century. Against nylon bands sold with no origin and no composition, that means an even weave and a hook-and-loop closure that keeps its grip over time.
