Rosewood-style glossy red watch box for 12 watches

Almost every watch box is black, brown or Makassar. This one is dark red, in a gloss varnish imitating rosewood. It is the piece to choose when you do not want the same box as everyone else.

The beige interior

Dividers and cushions are covered in beige rather than black. That is a coherent choice: over an already coloured exterior, a dark interior would weigh the whole thing down. Beige lifts the slots and sets off darker dials.

31 × 21 × 9 cm for twelve slots is tight. The box fits a standard domestic safe, which most twelve-watch boxes do not. The clasp sits on the front rather than the top, so you do not need clearance above to open it.
