20mm Crocodile Watch Strap Large Scales Honey AREZZO DARK-CROCO

Our workshop shots show the honey 20 mm crocodile watch strap on an Omega Speedmaster. Large scales hold their own against a chronograph case where a fine pattern would be lost. The honey, obtained by two-tone tanning, catches the light differently by angle and keeps the wrist alive.

Large scales and two-tone tanning

Two-tone tanning, drum-dyed, leaves the hollows darker than the raised areas. On large scales that contrast draws each plate instead of flattening the hide. The result is never identical from one strap to the next — which is what a dye that penetrates does.

A rubber lining under an exotic hide

It is a rare technical proposition: a rubber lining that cannot rot, beneath crocodile. It extends the working life of the strap by limiting the effects of perspiration, which a leather lining handles poorly on a watch worn every day.
