The 20mm blue padded strap is a rare tone at this thickness

Blue is easy to find on a thin, dressed leather. On a 5 mm padded strap in matt calf, it becomes far rarer — and far more interesting. Drum dyeing gives a deep blue with no plasticised effect, one that holds its own against a sunburst dial without copying it.

Ecru stitching, matt calf

The ecru stitching cuts cleanly across the blue and redraws the outline of the strap. The calf is left matt: it absorbs light instead of returning it, which avoids the lacquered look of pigmented blue leathers.

Five millimetres at the lugs

Thickness of 5 mm at the lugs, tapering to 3.5 mm at the buckle. The volume sits under the case, the suppleness is kept where the wrist bends. Hypoallergenic calf leather lining, Tuscan vegetable tanning.
