Our workshop shots show the black 20 mm perforated watch strap with red stitching on an Omega Speedmaster. The stitching picks up the red of the chronograph hand, and the microperforation answers the tachymeter scale. It is the most direct pairing in the Monaco family.

Matt microperforated calf, red stitching

The calf is left matt, with no glossy finish, which brings out the perforations through shadow rather than reflection. Red stitching runs along both edges and gives the piece its only colour. Cut edge, visible leather section.

A rubberised lining for sporting wear

The rubberised leather lining resists perspiration and takes splashes. That is what allows a leather to be worn on a sports watch without stiffening after a few months. Light 3 mm padding, tapering to 2.5 mm at the buckle.
