The 20mm three-hole rally strap Monza beige is made from vegetable-tanned Tuscan calf, contrast stitching. Cut-edge side finish. Progressive 4 mm padding, tapering to 2.5 mm at the buckle. Polished stainless buckle 18 mm included and removable.
Beige is the historic colour of the racing strap: that of driving gloves and dashboard leather in the nineteen-sixties. Paired with the three wide holes of the Monza, it gives a frankly rally result, chosen for what it says rather than for its discretion.
Our workshop shots show it on an Omega Speedmaster. The contrast between steel case, black dial and pale leather is what makes the pairing work. It plays the same role on a reissued Heuer Carrera, a Yema Rallygraf or an Autavia.
Progressive 4 mm padding at the lugs, tapering to 2.5 mm at the buckle. The edge is cut clean and left visible, with no folded rim and no thick lacquer. Vegetable-tanned leather lining, contrasting stitching.
The Monza is made in Italy from vegetable-tanned Tuscan leather, and stays offered at a contained price for this level of finish. Few rally straps of this construction are available below that mark.
See every 20mm leather watch strap. In a darker version, the dark brown Monza 20mm. In flat suede rather than padded leather, the beige suede Maranello 20mm. The Monza is padded: the Hirsch 20mm range offers flat-structured rally straps.
