Brown and the field watch have gone together for a century — long before nylon appeared. On a vintage military chronograph, this colourway reconnects with the original leather, in a version you wash without a second thought.

Nylon takes over from leather

This NATO is cut from a single length of woven nylon, to the G10 specification. The band runs under the case and comes to rest on both spring bars. Buckle and keepers in marine-grade anti-corrosion stainless steel: sea, water sports and diving without the slightest reservation. A 30° machine wash does it no harm.

G10, heritage without the folklore

The NATO strap came from a British Ministry of Defence order in 1973, referenced G10 — after the form you had to fill in to get one. The brief fitted in a few lines: one piece, two spring bars, a nylon that does not rot in tropical humidity, and enough length to pass over a wetsuit.
