Hirsch alligator skins are hand-graded and show the rectangular grain sought after in watchmaking. They come from farms in the southern United States, under the control of the national authorities.

The Hirsch Oysterglove Supersoft lining follows the wrist from the first fitting. Its specific treatment protects the alligator from perspiration, which is what damages an exotic leather first.
