Eight watches, large diameters included

The Valigetta 8 was dimensioned around real watches rather than theoretical measurements. Each slot leaves the clearance a crown and pushers need, so a 50 mm diver, a chronograph with protruding pushers or a piece on a steel bracelet that will not lie flat all fit without forcing.

The compact version is the one we recommend when height is limited: all eight watches sit flat on a single level, with no stacked tray.

A full Toledo leather lining

The outer structure is covered in lightly grained Toledo leather. The interior receives the same hide, slot by slot, over a shock-absorbing base. No textile lining, no change of material when the lid opens: the covering is continuous.

The clasp is chromed stainless steel. It is the part you handle most, and the polished steel sets off the front of the case.

Handmade in Italy

Scatola del Tempo began with an Italian collector, Sandro Colarieti, who could not find a case worthy of the watches he owned. The company has built in its Italian workshops ever since, by hand, piece by piece.

We are an official retailer for the brand. The provenance is documented and the three-year international warranty is the manufacturer's own, valid worldwide.

The box on video

We filmed this box on our own premises, with a vintage Rolex GMT set in one of the slots. The grain of the leather and the travel of the lid read better there than in any photograph.
