The 20mm raw leather watch strap Brutus black with beige stitching is made from raw cowhide on both faces, with minimal contrast stitching at the ends. Side edges patinated by hand. Thickness of 4 mm at the watch end, tapering to 2.5 mm at the buckle.
On a raw black leather, beige introduces no colour: it simply lightens the two ends of the strap. The whole stays monochrome and is wearable on a dress watch as much as on an older diver, where the red-stitch version imposes a register.
No thread along the edges. A few stitches at each end, and nothing more. It is the minimum needed to hold the structure, and the maximum a raw leather with a hand-worked edge allows.
