Hirsch — pouch of 4 reinforced stainless steel spring bars, 20 mm lug width. 1.8 mm diameter in stainless steel for excellent resistance. Removal calls for a fine-fork spring bar tool, reference Bergeon 6767F. Springbars should always be replaced when the strap is changed.
A pouch of four reinforced stainless steel spring bars, 20 mm lug width, 1.8 mm diameter for excellent resistance. Hirsch.
It is the lug width of Rolex, of divers of usual diameter and of most contemporary men's watches. If you keep only one width in reserve, keep this one.
Older springbars are sometimes bent, and their spring can seize. Better to change them along with the strap: it costs a few euros and the watch starts again on new parts.
Two springbars are enough for one strap, one per lug end. The set of four therefore leaves a spare pair — for next time, or for the one that jumps off the bench.
Removal calls for a fine-fork tool: we recommend the Bergeon 6767F spring bar tool. Our video guide to removing a watch strap shows the movement.
Arezzo 20mm leather straps are made in Tuscany and available online exclusively here. Hirsch 20mm straps, made in Austria, offer other constructions. On a watch with fixed bars, no springbar can be removed: a NATO 20mm strap is the answer.
