The 20mm red perforated strap is a piece with character
Red is not a fallback colour: it is a decision. On a black-dial sports watch it tips the whole towards racing without slipping into pastiche. The microperforation, finer than a rally's, keeps the red from turning loud by breaking up the solid surface.
Microperforation and rubberised lining
The perforations are small and regular along the full length. The rubberised leather lining extends the working life of the strap by limiting the effects of perspiration, which a leather-lined leather handles poorly on a watch worn for sport.
Light on the wrist, 3 mm padding
Three millimetres at the lugs only, tapering to 2.5 mm at the buckle: this is the lightest of the rally straps in the collection. Matt calf, supple from the start, needs no breaking in. Cut edge, visible section.
